Dear Friends,

This past week, our state was struck by Hurricane Florence, leaving many in dire need of assistance.  As North Carolina continues to endure the aftermath and devastation of Hurricane Florence, I wanted to provide you with an update as well as various resources to assist you.

Our office has launched a new Hurricane Florence website dedicated to helping constituents of the 7th District find the information they need to aid with recovery and rebuilding efforts.  The website includes information on applying for disaster assistance, local emergency and disaster contact information and other resources, including:
• Counties in the 7th District eligible to receive Disaster Assistance funding 
o How to apply for disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
o How to apply for Small Business Administration assistance
o Information for how farm families can receive assistance with crops or livestock
• Local contact information including county emergency services, shelter information, local Sherriff’s Departments, Red Cross offices, local hospitals and helpful smartphone applications
• Information on how our office can assist with Hurricane Florence related casework
• Frequently Asked Questions; and
• Related news updates
