 Power is slowly coming back to North Carolina homes and businesses as Duke Energy and North Carolina’s 26 electric cooperatives continue their restoration efforts after Hurricane Florence. With winds that reached over 100 mph and rainfall as heavy as 30 inches in some areas, Hurricane Florence caused extensive damage that left hundreds of thousands of people in North Carolina without power.
