The chairman of Culp Inc. (NYSE: CULP) is stepping away from day-to-day management of the company he helped create 46 years ago, the High Point-based fabrics manufacturer announced Thursday. Robert G. "Rob" Culp will remain chairman of the board, but will be less involved in running the company – though he'll "continue in his role as a strategic advisor and remain involved in customer and home furnishings industry relationships," the company said.
