Governor Roy Cooper dropped in by helicopter on Haddock Farms near Trenton to address a gathering of farmers and local elected officials on agriculture issues related to the recent hurricane and its resultant flooding. He spoke briefly before taking some questions from a crowd of about 30 people, including farmers and their families. Cooper told the gathering that “the number one economic driver in our state for business is agriculture. Across the state agriculture has been hurt badly.” For more of this story, click here.
