(NC) Florence farm losses could reach billions

Cumberland County fish farmer flooded out, fish washed away. Much of farmer Duane Stone’s crop is in the fields following Hurricane Florence, but that’s not where it’s supposed to be. The fields are filled with thousands of catfish and tilapia that should be swimming in the six ponds of Stone’s Cedar Creek Fish Farm. Instead, this week they were dead or dying in the receding floodwater on the land around his property.
