H-2A temporary workers increase by 21 percent

More than 242,700 temporary workers were hired in fiscal 2018 through the H-2A visa program, a 21 percent jump over the previous year, according to the Labor Department. The produce sector — berry operators in particular — accounted for the highest percent of temporary workers.
