A recent article on farmers in Georgia’s agricultural belt who had been affected by Hurricane Michael led to some criticism from our readers about the piece’s focus on climate change. These readers said they expected the article to focus on other hardships facing the farming community, and they took issue with how the climate change debate was framed. Some also said they fear the article perpetuated false stereotypes of rural Southerners.
