Reminder: Public Hearing on draft permit for Enviva Pellets Hamlet facility Thursday

Text of StoryThe N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Air Quality (DAQ) will host a public meeting and public hearing on Thursday, November 8, 2018, on a draft permit for Enviva Pellets Hamlet, LLC. The facility has applied for modifications of the existing Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) permit to increase production rate, add air emission control equipment and be reclassified as a PSD minor stationary source.
The Division of Air Quality will host a public meeting and public hearing at the Richmond Community College, Cole Auditorium. Interested parties will have the opportunity to ask questions during the public meeting that begins at 6:30, and provide written or oral comment during the hearing that will begin at 7pm.
