COUNTY EXTENSION AGENT REPORTS
Several small grain growers have foregone planting
wheat/barley due to wet conditions and late season harvest
issues. Instead, they are focusing on 2019 corn/soybean
crop. Estimate of 25% reduction.
Dwayne Tate – Agronomist Region

We have received ample rain this week to sustain the
growth of hayfields and pastures but it is making it hard for
the soybean producers to harvest their crop.
Janice Nicholson – FSA Rutherford County

We have had several days of rain, including 4 inches.
Tim Britton - Johnston County Extension

Frequent rainfall limits field work and harvest
Mike Carroll - Craven County Extension
