Hurricane Florence assistance deadlines extended

The government has extended into December some of the assistance deadlines for homeowners, renters, businesses and nonprofit organizations to help them recover from Hurricane Florence damage and losses. The government still is offering Disaster Loans to all of those groups. Also, renters who have received money to help them pay for temporary housing can continue to get assistance if they still need it, according to news releases and interviews with government spokesmen. The programs are through the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Administration.
