Noting tech companies that have eyed the state this year for corporate expansions, Forbes has announced that, for a second year in a row, North Carolina ranks No. 1 on its annual listing of "The Best States for Business." The business magazine pointed out that the Triangle region, in particular, caught the attention of executives at Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN), who put the area on its short list for its HQ2 project.
