Tempers flared among House members Tuesday afternoon during a three-hour committee hearing on legislation setting the rules for the recently approved constitutional amendment requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls. Senate Bill 824 cleared the House Elections Committee on a 17-9 party-line vote and is expected to get its first debate on the House floor Wednesday.
