USPOULTRY awards $30,642 student recruiting grant to N.C. State

The USPOULTRY Foundation recently awarded a $30,642 student recruiting grant to the North Carolina State University (NCSU) Prestage Department of Poultry Science (PDPS). The grant was made possible in part from an endowing Foundation gift from the Stanley & Dorothy Frank Family Foundation. The check was presented by John Prestage, senior vice president for Prestage Farms and USPOULTRY board vice chairman, to Dr. Pat Curtis, NCSU PDPS department head and professor. Joining in the presentation were Lynn Worley-Davis, undergraduate teaching coordinator, NCSU; John Starkey, president of U.S. Poultry & Egg Association; Bob Ford, executive director of the North Carolina Poultry Federation; and several NSCU PDPS students.
