Local farmers feeling impact of partial government shutdown

With Tuesday marking the 18th day of the partial government shutdown, many have asked how it impacts Eastern North Carolina. Farmers throughout ENC said the agricultural industry in our state accounts for nearly a fifth of the state's income. But when Hurricane Florence hit, it demolished many of the family-owned and operated farms in the area.
