A longtime area Congressman has entered hospice care, according to the NCGOP. “Congressman Walter B. Jones’ (NC-3) health has declined after sustaining a broken hip last week. He is now in hospice care. The family asks for your prayers, and for their privacy to be respected during this difficult time,” a statement from his office reads. NCGOP Chairman Robin Hayes released a statement on the NCGOP Twitter page, saying the news is “extremely sad” for Republicans.
