North Carolina homeowners in 12 counties have been granted an extension to enroll in a special program to make Hurricane Florence-damaged homes habitable again, according to a statement from Gov. Roy Cooper’s office. The program provides partial repairs at no cost to homeowners so Hurricane Florence survivors can return to and remain in their homes while longer-term repairs continue, according to the release. The partial repairs are made at no cost to the home owners.
