Board of Agriculture will meet Feb. 5 via conference call

The N.C. Board of Agriculture will hold its quarterly meeting Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. via a conference call. To access the meeting, call 919-850-2992.

The board will take up the following items:
• Consider N.C. State Fair admission prices from N.C. State Fair Manager Kent Yelverton.
• Hear a request for the 2019 N.C. State Fair price structure.
• Consider Commercial Use Program changes from the N.C. Forest Service.
• Consider additional information regarding the Dupont State Recreational Forest Advisory Committee from the N.C. Forest Service.
• Other business.

About the Board of Agriculture

The Board of Agriculture is a policymaking body that adopts regulations for many of the programs administered by the N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Members are appointed by the governor. The commissioner of agriculture serves as chairman of the board.
