Gov. Cooper visits farmers, sees hurricane damage firsthand

Governor Roy Cooper visited eastern Carolina Tuesday to get feedback from people about a variety of issues, including ongoing hurricane recovery. The owners of Overman Farms in Wayne County are still struggling months after Hurricane Florence. The storm hit them hard causing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage and the governor looked at the damage firsthand.
A few rotting potatoes still litter the field that had been flooded in the storm.
