UMO is cultivating student ag experience

Much is happening within the University of Mount Olive ag programs. This will be the first full cropping year on the 63-acre student-led Kornegay Farm, new majors are being added, partnerships are being developed, and animal production, forages, and organics are coming on board. “Our ag programs are truly unique,” said Sandy Maddox, director of the Lois G. Britt Agribusiness Center at UMO in a news release. “To my knowledge, we offer more bachelor of science degree options in agriculture than any other private NC institution.
