State, Chemours, environmental group sign new GenX agreement

The state Department of Environmental Quality, Chemours and Cape Fear River Watch have signed off on a revised agreement that state officials say will require the company to deal with all sources of GenX and similar compounds at its Bladen County plant. State officials are asking a Superior Court judge in Bladen County to approve the new consent order that revises a previous agreement approved by the three organizations in November. The new consent order will require Chemours to submit monthly reports about its GenX emissions...
