Deep freeze over next two nights stirs concern among Moore County peach growers

Temperatures that are expected to dip into the 20s overnight into Wednesday have raised concern among Moore County peach farmers because recent spring-like weather may have put some crops in jeopardy. Several peach trees in Eagle Springs have started to blossom' and farmers in the area think the coming cold snap could place the budding crops at risk. Brothers Benjamin and Will Williams are fifth-generation peach farmers, tending to dozens of acres of peaches on their land in Moore County.
