House looks to put 'NC C-SPAN' on state's airwaves

The House voted 115-1 Wednesday to start the wheels moving on a plan to broadcast House sessions statewide online and via UNC-TV. House Bill 218 calls for spending about $300,000 on video equipment that can stream all floor debates and archive the videos for people to watch on demand. UNC-TV would be called on to televise sessions that "are of particular public importance."
