Dear Friend of Senate District 10,

I hope you are all having a wonderful and productive week. This week, I got invited to appear on Capital Tonight on a segment about NC Agriculture and the Ag Rally this week. I'd like to thank them for the opportunity to support our farmers and raise awareness throughout our state. 

I also had the chance to meet with Kim Lackey and her daughters Kaylee, Madison, and Amber along with their friend Alannah. They are members of The Cookie Clover Scouts of Troop 946. It was a pleasure meeting them and getting to talk to them about their questions and concerns. I am very impressed that Kim and her daughters took the initiative to reach out to our office to meet about some local issues they felt passionate about.

Also, I had the chance to meet with our Johnston County Farm Bureau. I was joined a few of my colleagues in our county delegation from both the House and the Senate. It was great to hear from these great people and I can't thank them enough for all they do on behalf of our district. Thank you!



Yesterday, I held a press conference with Commissioner Steve Troxler as well as my colleagues from both the House and Senate, to introduce the NC Farm Act of 2019. This has become an annual tradition in our states legislature and we are proud of these positive changes that will help NC agriculture succeed. 

Also, I had the honor of speaking at the Ag. Rally on Wednesday morning. It was exciting to see so many farmers and supporters from all over the state come together to work collectively on behalf of NC agriculture. We will continue to fight on behalf of our NC farmers and continue to keep agriculture as an economic cornerstone.
