Mark Bellissimo knows a thing or two about bringing big plans to life. The managing partner of Tryon Equestrian Partners, Bellissimo was the driving force that brought the 2018 World Equestrian Games to nearby Mill Spring last fall — and with it, an estimated 200,000-plus people, including competitors and spectators from across the globe. The event wasn’t without its hiccups, thanks in part to rain from Hurricane Florence during its first week and the ongoing construction at the Tryon International Equestrian Center.
