The Senate picked its portion of the new University of North Carolina's Board of Governors on Thursday over the Democratic minority's complaints on process. Most of the choices were reappointments. Republicans coalesced behind six of seven candidates on the ballot, and Democrats largely voted against a couple of members: former state Sen. Thomas Goolsby and Fayetteville attorney Michael Williford, both named to the board in 2015. For more of this story, click here.
