North Carolina strawberry farmers working to protect plants ahead of cold snap

Strawberry season is a little over a month away, but farmers are busy trying to keep their plants alive as the Triad braces for another cold snap. Mabe's Strawberry Farm in Walnut Cove says this time of year is critical for strawberry plants. The owner says they plan to irrigate overnight, to keep the plants warm. "If that blossom reaches a certain temperature with frost, it'll kill it," said Christy Mabe Rogers.
