Good morning,

NASDA joined a broad coalition of agriculture organizations in sending the attached letter to Ambassador Lighthizer this morning urging swift action on a U.S.-Japan trade agreement. The letter can be found
online here. The following quote can be attributed to NASDA CEO Dr. Barb Glenn:

“The Administration must recognize the urgent need to negotiate a bilateral agreement with Japan that restores access and expands opportunities for American agriculture. The increasing levels of disadvantage our producers are facing in the Japanese market have them facing yet another degree of uncertainty in their business. Maintaining, expanding, and obtaining market access for U.S. ag should be of top priority for the Administration and Congress.”
