Effective May 1, 2019 and expiring October 30, 2019, Transform has been approved for use in cotton as an emergency exemption to manage tarnished plant bugs in North Carolina. This timely approval will allow growers more choices to rotate insecticides to slow emerging pyrethroid and organophosphate resistance. The active ingredient of Transform is sulfoxafor (Group 4c). This insecticide is very soft on natural enemies and is a good option to manage plant bugs without flaring aphids, bollworms or mites. It is also very active on cotton aphids. Finally, it is very toxic to many pollinators- follow the labeled use directions to minimize these impacts. Click here for the label.
