Eligible North Carolinians whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Matthew have until May 31 to apply with ReBuild NC for help with repairs or rebuilding. The help comes from single-family housing recovery programs available through the state’s Hurricane Matthew Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funding. To date, North Carolina has awarded more than $11.4 million in CDBG-DR funds to 327 households to repair or reconstruct homes damaged by the storm, with hundreds more applications for assistance currently being processed.
