Yakima Valley to benefit from mental health, conservation funds in state budget (H2-A bill)

Additional funding for mental health treatment, changes to the H-2A guest worker program and flood prevention projects were among the items approved by the Legislature as lawmakers wrapped up work in Olympia last week. Local officials are still sorting through some changes, notably how school funding updates will affect K-12 budgets. But here’s a look at how the Yakima Valley fared:
