PlantPure Inc., a plant-based health and wellness company, has raised $6.8 million by selling equity, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday. A total of 44 investors contributed to the offering. The filing did not disclose how the Mebane-based company intends to use the money. PlantPure was founded as an outgrowth of the 2015 documentary PlantPure Nation.
