U.S. Senate confirms Bell as federal judge in N.C.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Kenneth Bell on Wednesday as a federal judge for the Western District of N.C. Bell was recommended for the judgeship in April 2018 by North Carolina’s Republican U.S. senators, Richard Burr and Thom Tillis. The Trump administration then nominated Bell. Bell is a partner in the McGuireWoods law firm’s Charlotte office and spent 18 years as a federal prosecutor.
