Insect activity is beginning to increase with the warm, dry conditions. Insects of potential concern including codling moth, tufted apple bud moth, brown marmorated stink bug, and leafhoppers and aphids. See the table at the end of this report for insecticide recommendations for these insects. In the mountains at about 2100 ft elevation (i.e., Henderson County),  codling mothdegree day (DD) accumulations since biofix are at about 620, which coincides with almost 90% emergence of first generation codling moth adults and about 45% egg hatch.
