ON FARM HAY STOCKS On farm hay stocks totaled 235,000 tons as of May 1, 2018, up 9% from the May 1, 2017 estimate of 215,000 tons.

WINTER WHEAT Winter wheat production in North Carolina is expected to total 12.2 million bushels for 2019, down 42% from the 21.1 million bushels produced in 2018. Yield per acre at 54 bushels is down 6 bushels per acre from last year’s estimate of 57.
