Two North Carolina utilities made it to the Smart Electric Power Alliance's list of the top 10 solar power companies for 2018. Duke Energy Progress added 436 megawatts of solar capacity in the state last year to rank fourth among the more than 500 utilities surveyed for SEPA's 2019 Utility Market Snapshot report. It is the seventh consecutive year that Duke Progress and its predecessor, Progress Energy, have made the top 10 in the annual survey, which SEPA has published since 2007.
