The Financial Services Committee passes the National Flood Insurance Program Reauthorization

Flooding is the most common, destructive, and expensive natural disaster we face. This is why I helped author two pieces of bipartisan legislation to reauthorize and reform the National Flood Insurance Program for the 5 million policyholders—including some right here in the Tenth District—who have come to rely on this very important program. On Thursday, these two bills passed out of the Financial Services Committee with unanimous support. The customer-driven and customer-focused reforms included in these bills will benefit the taxpayer and the program for many years to come.
