A North Carolina House member has announced she's resigning next week, probably as the General Assembly continues working toward completing this year's legislative session. Republican Rep. Rena Turner of Iredell County wrote to Gov. Roy Cooper and House Speaker Tim Moore on Monday telling them that she would step down from her 84th House District seat on June 27.
