A high-profile Engle progeny lawsuit that once threatened Reynolds American Inc.’s financial solvency has ended with a Florida jury clearing the manufacturer of liability. The case in Florida Judicial Court involves Cynthia Robinson, the widow of Michael Johnson Sr., who died at age 36. The lawsuit returned to trial after an 18-month wait. The jury dismissed Monday the claim that nicotine addiction caused Johnson’s lung-cancer death, according to Courtroom Video Network. For more of this story, click here.
