A Texas lawyer looking for gains at the expense of North Carolina farmers was bad enough. The legal stench of another band of barristers is equally disturbing. Last week, the hog farming industry was slapped again, this time by the Waterkeepers Alliance, N.C. Environmental Justice Network, Rural Empowerment Association for Community Help, and the Winyah Rivers Alliance. Their lawsuit asks the state court system to overturn the 2017 farm bill and part of the 2018 farm bill.
