A pair of Republican stalwarts are lending their voices to opposing campaigns in the final days of a feisty runoff in Eastern North Carolina’s 3rd Congressional District. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is now President Donald Trump’s lawyer, has recorded robocalls to voters on behalf of state Rep. Greg Murphy, a urologic surgeon. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is doing robocalls on behalf of Joan Perry, a Kinston pediatrician and first-time candidate.
