More manufacturing jobs are headed to the Triad courtesy of a Mississippi-based upholstery and case goods furniture company. United Furniture Industries will hire up to 500 new employees at plants in North Carolina, California and Mississippi. UFI said the hirings willhelp meet the growing demand for its upholstered furnishings and other products. The private company has about 3,500 employees.
