The NC State University Organic Working Group will be holding the Organic Commodities Field Day on July 22 at the Cunningham Research Station in Kinston, NC.

This half-day event will include research updates, equipment demonstrations, and information sessions pertinent to North Carolina’s growing organic commodity sector. Specific topics will include the development of conservation tillage practices in organic tobacco and sweet potato, the emerging organic sorghum market, application of plasticulture for tobacco production, demonstration of new cultivation and no-till equipment, and much more. A light breakfast will be served prior to the field day and the event will end with lunch and a research poster session.
