Grape pest survey – 2nd week of July
Story Date: 7/18/2019

The grapes at our monitoring sites continue to grow and are getting close to full size. This week, we caught grape berry moth at our Rowan Co. location, although in very low numbers. In  other locations, the captures remain zero. Graphocephala versuta catches this week show lower numbers compared to the last one which may indicate that we are in between generations. Similar to the past week, captures of glassy winged sharpshooters are present at the east locations, in Currituck, Perquimans and New Hanover Co., but numbers are still low.
