Vineyards in Henderson County have received federal designation

Some great news out of the Agribusiness Henderson County, as they have announced much progress, and success in the process of acquiring  federal designation as an American Viticultural Area for local grape and wine producers. A joint filing between AgHC and NC State Extension for the acutal designation began in December of 2016, which now is approximately 215 square miles in Henderson County as the AVA named was is called "Crest of the Blue Ridge Henderson County"
