Grape pest survey – 3rd week of July
Story Date: 7/26/2019

Source: NCSU COOPERATIVE EXTENSION, 7/24/19

Grapes are starting to ripen, including those at our location in Currituck Co.

This week we continue to catch grape berry moth in Rowan Co. but also, in Wilkes and Currituck Co. Their presence is still in very low numbers, but as the berries start to ripen, we expect to see an increase in its presence.

The leaf hopper, Graphocephala versuta, where present, continues to decrease in numbers. Glassy winged sharpshooter are still present in our two locations at the Northeast, Perquimans and Currituck Co., and also at one of our locations in Rowan Co.
