Glassy winged sharpshooter captures are very low or zero in locations with previous captures. This suggests we are between generations. This also appears to be the case for another Pierce’s Disease vector, Graphocephala versuta. Grape berry moth was only caught in one of our locations in Rowan Co., but continues to be present in very low numbers.

As the grapes ripen, other insects, like the Green June Beetle, start to show up in the fields and could potentially damage fruit. Refer to the Southern Region Small Fruit Consortium Bunch grape and Muscadine  IPM guide for pest management recommendations.
