(NC) Farmers concerned over China trade policy

China's announcement this week that it will cease buying American agricultural products has Wilson's farmers concerned about how they may be affected. "China has historically been a big purchaser of U.S. agriculture products with a population of over 1.3 billion to feed and clothe," said Norman Harrell, director of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension office in Wilson County. "Soybeans are the largest acreage crop we grow in Wilson County with over 32,000 acres planted this year and the second most-planted crop in the United States."
