Henderson County crops fare well after wettest year

While heavy rainfall and floods across the Midwest and Eastern North Carolina have had a severe impact on crops, Henderson County’s growing season has been less affected – especially when compared to last year. Henderson County Cooperative Extension Director Terry Kelley said that with such terrible weather last year, when more than 100 inches of rain fell, this year has certainly been better for crops, though not ideal. Kelley noted this year has still been wetter than normal.
