 Duke Energy received approval for its Green Source Advantage program which will enable the company to expand renewable energy options in North Carolina, the company said Wednesday.  The program allows customers to negotiate prices directly with renewable energy suppliers, a service not previously offered by Duke Energy. Capacity is being set aside for the UNC System and the military, according to Randy Wheeless, a communications representative for Duke Energy. This capacity will be removed in three years.
