As of today the heaviest rainfall from Hurricane Dorian will fall on the coastal plains of North Carolina this Thursday, according to the National Weather Service and the National Hurricane Center. Winds are anticipated to be upwards of 30 miles per hour on Thursday for the region, with rain totals up to six inches. This region of North Carolina is a large producer of watermelons this time of year. As we have seen with this storm things can change from one day to the next so trying to anticipate what will actually happen on Thursday is only an educated guess at this point.
